Take any music file you have on your computer. (Well, not any. It won’t work with itunes files, but with any .MP3, .M4A, .OGG, or .WMA files.) Upload it to the service, and shortly, you’ll get a message on your phone telling you how to download the ringtone. Works with hundreds of models of phones and most service providers.
Best of all, it’s FREE!!! Well, it can be. Upload your song, and choose standard mode, and your ringtone will be placed in a queue to be sent to your phone when it’s your turn (sometimes it’s an hour or two, but you don’t need to be near your phone to get it). Or, for those of you less patient, buy credits ($5 for 6 Credits, $10 for 14) and your ringtone will be sent to your phone in less than a minute.
So pick whatever you want – your child’s favorite song, something guaranteed to drive the guy in the next cubicle insane, or just something that no one else has. And enjoy your new ringtone!
