I hear you! It’s not just music for me – it’s everything… I feel like I’ve been living in a cave for the past 19 months (9 months of pregnancy and 10 months since my son was born) and I desperately need to crawl out of it!

Ahh further proof that life really does completely change when you become parents. I kept scoffing (sp?) at this comment I heard over and over when I was PG. Darn it if everyone wasn’t right!

For me, it was the whole “getting a job” thing that ripped me from my music snobbery. Who has time to listen to new music, really listen to it, when you have piles and piles of papers to grade? I feel your pain.

My DH is the same way. He is forever telling me about this new song or band. We both are into a very ecletic taste of music.

Yeah, I’m trying to crawl out of that cave, too. I wasn’t a music snob by any means, but I was up to date on new music. Now it seems the only way I can hear new-ish music is on SNL, and half the time I’m like “who are they?”. I hinted to DH that I want an iPod for christmas, so hopefully I’ll be able to get out of this mommy cave soon!
