Personal Information
To provide you with our service and to participate in the community forum, Constant Chatter requires that you register and provide your e-mail address. To provide you with the best possible service, we require some basic information. Those particular items are marked with an asterisk (*). Furthermore, we ask for some optional information on our sign-up page and in periodic opt-in surveys. We use this basic, and optional information, to further tailor our content to your interests. Constant Chatter does not collect any personal information that is not expressly provided to us. Additionally, Constant Chatter will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, except when necessary to deliver a requested service. Upon request, we will provide you with the information that we maintain about you.
Demographic Information
We may use aggregate data such as income, age and geography to further customize our content and enhance our services. We may share this information with advertisers and the media. Likewise, we may share this information with another company in the event that we merge, are acquired or participate in a joint venture with another company. All aggregate data will be shared without any personally identifiable information about our individual subscribers.
Information Not Collected: A user can access our Web sites and utilize many of our services without providing any information at all. Nor do we follow a user’s browsing path outside of our Web sites.
Surveys, Polls, & Contests
From time-to-time Constant Chatter requests information from visitors via surveys, polls, contests, sweepstakes, or other promotions, either sponsored by Constant Chatter or one of its business partners. Participation in these surveys, contests, or polls is completely voluntary and the visitor therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose any information (although, for example, mailing address and demographic information may be required to enter contests). Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level).
Web Site Usage Information
Likewise, we and some of our partners, may make use of cookies (small text files placed on your computer’s hard disk by our server). They are used to collect non-personal traffic information such as the number of visits to our site and pages visited. This information will only be used to assess how subscribers are using our services so that we may better serve you. This data will also allow us to manage the functionality of the site. Constant Chatter will never use cookies to retrieve information from a computer that is unrelated to our site or services.
Finally, you should be aware that if you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information on message boards or in chat areas of Constant Chatter, that information can be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited messages from other individuals or third parties.
Linked Sites
Although Constant Chatter may provide links to third party sites, we are not responsible for the content that appears on those sites nor do we endorse these sites. Users should check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties when providing personally identifiable information through co-branded, affiliated or linked sites to determine their use of information.
Advertisers
To support our efforts we sell sponsorships of Constant Chatter mailings to advertisers who we think you’d like to know about. These advertisers will either be identified as a Friend of Constant Chatter, Custom Mail, Advertisement or Sponsor.
While on our site, you may occasionally receive cookies from our advertisers or promotional partners. The placement of cookies by third-party servers is common on the Internet. Constant Chatter does not control the use of these cookies or have access to the resulting information.
Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to protect the information we collect online. Constant Chatter stores all of the information described above in restricted databases.
Non-U.S. Users
If you are located outside of the United States, please note that the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. By using Constant Chatter, you consent to this transfer. You also consent to the adjudication of any disputes arising in connection with Constant Chatter in the federal and state courts of, and in accordance with the laws of, the state of California.
Children Under 13
Constant Chatter must not be used by children under 13. Children under 13 MUST not submit personal information.
Opt-out / Unsubscribe
All registered Constant Chatter community forum members may receive occasional emails regarding the community forum from time to time. This is mandatory as it is the only way to reach all community forum members regarding forum news and maintenance. Outside of the occasional community forum emails, if we ever send you an email that you did not expressly request, we will provide you with an email address by which you may request to receive no future notices.
Changes to Privacy Policy
Constant Chatter may change this privacy policy. Any changes will be reflected on this privacy policy page. If you are concerned about how your information will be used, you should check back at this privacy policy page periodically.
